Never believe in piracy

I was very depressed watching it, the quality of the pirated version was poor, probably the Korean version, and the subtitles from English to Chinese were ridiculous to the point of nonsense. The male junior said clearly that I was engaged. The subtitle actually popped up: I am alone. Oh shit! !
I am very interested in court dramas, probably because the costumes of that era were too gorgeous. But there are really not many good films, and the few I have watched recently have been disappointing. "The Duchess" is also inexplicable to me (the indiscreet translation is partly responsible), isn't it that she had a lover and then returned to the family, where is her resistance? Without seeing the taboo, there is no pleasure in breaking the taboo.
Also, I don't like Nellie's mouth. . . Honestly, not as good as Marie-Antoinette. Not to mention Reine Margot.

    She has everything except love.

In fact, it is the most perfect so-called most imperfect love. As a woman, she lives in the most imperfect and perfect. PS: Perhaps it is because of such a story that the director chose an imperfect female protagonist.

The Duchess quotes

  • Georgiana, The Duchess of Devonshire: He loves me?

    Lady Spencer: Yes, of course.

Georgiana, The Duchess of Devonshire: I have only met him twice.

Lady Spencer: When one truly loves someone, one doesn't have to know them well to be sure, Georgiana. One feels it right away.

  • Charles Fox: [admiring Georgiana's pregnancy] A huge belly has never been more becoming on anyone.

Richard Brinsley Sheridan: Well, Fox, here, offers an expert opinion seeing, as he does, a giant belly every time he passes a mirror.
