Movies are better than books

"the one chasing a kite". After all, the movie is not as good as the book. This is the law between 120 minutes and hundreds of thousands of words, so I think this is still good. It's just that the scene that emerges when you read it heartily is still so different from the movie. Of course, it's just my ignorance to imagine the streetscape of Kabul as the dilapidated alleys of a small Italian town. The original first-time readers, together with the feelings of atonement that should have been aroused, were digested because they knew the plot too much. All in all, if you haven't read the book, this is a good movie.

The Kite Runner quotes

  • Baba: [as Dr. Starobin examines him] Where are you from?

Dr. Starobin: I grew up in Michigan. Came out here for medical school. Once you get used to that California sunshine...

    Baba: But your family?

Dr. Starobin: My family? We're originally from Russia.

[Baba shoves him away, and is next seen with a different doctor]

  • Baba: The Mullahs want to rule our souls... and the Communists tell us we don't have any.
