invisible life

In this isolated, beautiful nursing home, all kinds of people from all over the world come here to heal. The protagonist is a well-known retired conductor, but he has experienced so much and gained so much. At such an age, he should feel comfortable, peaceful and good night, but he is still feeling the unease and panic that life or life brings to him. . Everyone is, never guessing what their life will be like. Even if things that were once so firm have reached a certain level, the firm will still be changed. Life is scary. Everyone lives at a temporary stage in their own life. Maybe you are trying to do your best to get to a certain place, but maybe because of a certain gust of wind, you reach the position you didn't want. I like to watch this kind of "complex" movies, movies that I can't figure out, I can see more human emotions, more possibilities, and make me think more.

How I wish this film won the award, this is the best of the few #CannesFilmcompetition films I've seen. There's an absurd narrative, there's a philosophy of life and death, there's dark humor, and there's a great line, Jane Fonda's acting skills for a few minutes, and the rest of the time I love Harvey Keitel more than Mike Cain, and Paul Dano's character is just too cheesy, someone I really love when all the characters stand in a row on the grass before jumping off the building.

All the world's a stage. And all the men and women merely players: They have their exits and their entrances. - William Shakespeare ("As You Like It" 2/7)

Youth quotes

  • Diva: Okay, you win. I'll go to bed with you, on one condition: that you don't come. That way, Frank... that way, you'll never forget me.

  • Mick Boyle: You know, I've come to understand something, Fred. That people are either beautiful or ugly, and the ones in between are merely cute.
