of the movie "Two Smoke Guns" What I have to say about "Two Smoke Guns" is its clever use of drama skills. The last victorious fisherman is the four protagonists and the father and son debt collector. A happy ending, a happy ending. I really like Gary Qi's overall narrative structure and form of expression. I just feel that everything is laid out so smoothly and naturally, there are rules to follow to the point of amazement. The whole film is compact and serious, without abruptness. Especially in the last police station, Eddie's answer, with a confused expression on his face without knowing the process, gave the audience who knew the whole story the greatest enjoyment.
As a whole, the film is cut into many small narrative pieces, but there are many coincidence encounters in the process of the film. The grasp of the time point is wonderful to the extreme. Let’s talk about the small part first. Gehry Ki is extremely clever to separate the narratives with groups of characters, so that the film is not chaotic and the chapters and events are reasonable and orderly.
The first part: Eddie and a group of four.
This combination is the protagonist in the film. It is the cause and result of the unfolding of the story. It is the witness, experiencer and penetrator of the story. Also the most dramatic group. The idea of stealing money was born because of the money owed for gambling. So involved in the incident. The most inexperienced group has good luck one after another, and finally got the invaluable smoke gun. Is the most perceptive group of people. Each has different personalities and different ideas. But it is a lovely group, a group that makes the audience worry. Eddie with good cards, funny soap, four people with very different personalities. The director can help the audience perfectly present the personality of the group through the lens language of small action language. It is a highlight of the play.
The second part: Harry's group
should be the big villains of the film, but they are easily destroyed in the end. This is the best use of drama. This group of people is the cause of the story. And the story is perfect enough to explain the history in a few minutes. This gambling was made because of Eddie's father. Only when there is an old man, there is a story of coming down. The substantial rationality of the cause is beautifully impeccable.
Part Three: Roy Baker and the Crew
The group appeared calm but ended tragically. The most happy person is the head Roy Baker. This black man with an explosive head appeared with a cute appearance but ended with a tragic death, making the demise of their gang become cute. The audience paid too much attention to their fragility, but remembered more. They are cute. Remember this grumpy head that loves to watch football. Roy is here as the core of the process. Whether it is from the source of the story or the structure of the script, he is an irreplaceable composer of the complete script, and irreplaceable has become the climax of the drama.
Part 4: Eddie
’s four people next door are here as the middle core. The end of the four people who are struggling to sacrifice time and time again, but frequently doing good for others, is cute and funny, which can be called a classic. There is also a lot of pen and ink in the play, as an important process, making the story more logical. And there is no lack of plots that make the audience hilarious.
Part 5: Looking for the big smoke gun duo
This may be the most interesting pair in "Two". Their image appears to have a sense of humor. A combination of one wearing mesh stockings and a naive curly hair appeared in the ranks of guns, which greatly enhanced the dramatic effect. They brought the big smoker into the story, they had a connection with Harry, but they eventually killed Harry. The dramatic effect is best reflected here. They act as the cause and end of the story. Make the story more complete and more interesting.
Part VI: selling marijuana group of five people
this is a running through them, although no big movements, but which are components of a group. They are bait, a reasonable cause. The rationality of the existence of this group is beyond doubt. But the director also gave this group a lot of elements. Has a strong sense of humor. For example, the weak woman who was lying on the sofa and shot at the end was robbed by several people. Their cowardice and non-violence finally ended up reasonably with the phrase "We are just growing marijuana."
Part VIII: The gun seller
This person is the only single-player action in the film. He is an indispensable contact and linker for the film. Smoke gun, marijuana and money are all related to him. Although he has few scenes, the director cleverly added a lot of impressive plots to him. For example, putting a cup on a coffee table without a glass plate is called "the sissy from the south". Because it is in English, I can't feel it very accurately. I believe that if it is in English, it must be very interesting. The appearance of this gun seller promotes the development and continuation of the story, but it is a small part that plays a connecting role.
The ninth part: father and son debt collectors.
The appearance of the father and son is full of violence and joking. While educating his son not to speak foul language, he used violence to force others to pay back the money. But it can be seen in the film that his father is a very upright and lovely person, loyal to the boss, and only takes a small portion of the money he deserves each time, and he uses violence against those who bully his son. His perfect ending is the most human aspect of this story. The director used his "whole process touched me" as the in-film evaluation of this story. It ended smoothly and slightly comedy. Make the story a perfect ending.
The nine parts are connected logically. The ingenuity of its event design is amazing. It seems that everyone is independent, but there is an implicit line that connects the story closely, which is natural and reasonable.
When the film came to a full stop, I found that the final outcome was that nothing has changed. The protagonist still lives as usual, and the previous event is like a dream, a long and exciting dream. But in the end, the story beautifully designed a big smoke gun ending. Uncountable numbers make the protagonist's behaviors comedic greatly intensified. The logic is unparalleled. The ingenuity of the script makes this story of "the struggle between the river and the clam and the fisherman gains" fascinating.
