better than nothing

I really agree with what the female dean said, it is impossible for millions of students to adopt this kind of education, because there are too few people like Erin.
Many people do not work because they love work, beg for food, retire, and survive. There are too many such people.
Even a persistent person like Erin will pay a divorce or other high price.
So this method is not universal, it is a special case, so this story becomes legend.

At the end, I have been worried that these children are happy to be able to stay with Erin for two more years, but Erin can't be with them forever?
Erin may have really taught them respect for each other, but it seems that respect is based on a strong reliance on Erin.
After they leave school and enter this cruel world, how, as Erin taught, will they treat anyone and anything?

But then again, having these four years is better than nothing.

I wanted to talk about racial and geographical discrimination, but there are too many such films. I thought of "American X-Files" at the beginning of this film. I will talk about it next time I have a chance.

Freedom Writers quotes

  • Eva: In America, a girl can be crowned a princess for her beauty, and her grace. But an Aztec princess is chosen for her blood. To fight for her people as Papi and his father fought, against those who say we are less than they are, against those who say that we are not equal in beauty or blessings.

Erin Gruwell: Who has been to jail or a juvenile hall?

Sindy: Does a refugee camp count?

    Erin Gruwell: You decide.
