Inspiration for comets

"The Night the Comet Came" must have borrowed many aspects of this film, just like "The Life of the Disgusted Matsuko" is a tribute to "Disqualification in the World", in my heart, the former is still better than the latter.
The concept of the hypercube is very interesting. The first part is about human nature, and the second part is interesting. It's just that compared to "The Night of the Comet", both the scene and the plot are a little monotonous, and it's really aesthetically exhausting to watch. And "Comet" is more down-to-earth and has more details. Although the scene is still simple, it is just much better than the monotonous white room. Of course, the fact that each room in this film is different in terms of gravity and time flow is really fun.
As for the strength of human nature, it is much worse than the first one.
Finally, the bait was thrown, and I will be looking forward to watching the third part in the past two days.

The more gorgeous four-dimensional design is the highlight, and the theme is far less profound than the first one.

Comparing these trilogy series, it should be said that the most peculiar one is the second "Hypercube". The film creates a four-dimensional "cube" space. Each room is a different time and space. Therefore, the same person can see his own In the past, you can still see yourself in the future. This unpredictable four-dimensional cube brings a complete horror to people. There is not only a sense of emptiness of knowing which is true or false, but also a sense of vain that cannot escape fate.

Cube²: Hypercube quotes

  • Simon Grady: What happens if whatever that was in there, that killed the guy - killed me, what happens if that fucking thing gets in here?

  • Kate Filmore: Who are you?

Simon Grady: Yeah, it's me. Good old Simon. Do you remember this, do you? Well, I've waited a long time for payback.

Kate Filmore: But, that was just seconds ago.

Simon Grady: Don't be so stupid Kate. You know time works differently in this place.
