Holmes in the play said that he is a person who values logic and truth and facts, and Watson is a normal person compared to him; therefore, he wrote about Watson's novels about him and the untrue ones that were made into film and television dramas. The plot expressed disapproval, and then in the last case, he himself went into seclusion because of the blow, until his memory began to decline in his later years, and he could not remember the real situation of the case. Holmes's psychological contradiction in the play: If you can save a person's life, is it more important to stick to the truth, or to use a lie to save a person's life?
