The story of the taxi.

Every story is very dramatic, and several of the lead actors are fantastic and top notch.
The story is told very well, and the foreshadowing in all aspects is really wonderful.
I think that in order for people to be talented, they must be extraordinary in terms of logic, and a lot of magic strokes are super-logical.

And the taxis in our mainland are experiencing the baptism of express cars. The system makers really did not expect to be so passive.
Our taxi drivers are always working boringly, carrying people boringly, and slaughtering people. Very primitive and inferior means, because the purpose is simple, so the process is boring.

I suddenly remembered the movie Tian Destiny, which is a bit interesting. Hehe, we saw the real situation of the whole continent in the taxi, and we were very disappointed that such different things happened at the same time in different places with different longitudes.

Los Angeles, New York, Paris, Rome, Helsinki, night falls, the sky is light, and taxi drivers shuttle through the empty streets of the city. Strangers meet, or be friendly, or sad, or playful, light and agile, the ordinary life of ordinary people. Every shot is about Jarmusch's true love for humanity.

I don't like any of the five stories, and the short stories that stand alone are weak and have little aftertaste. Just juxtaposing them together for the reason of the topic-writing-style night of the earth, I feel that there is no turbulence, and I can forget them in a blink of an eye.

Night on Earth quotes

  • Corky: I'm real particular, you know, and I'm also patient enough. I mean, at least I hope I am. Cause, you know, I don't know, maybe you got to wait awhile, you know. Cause, like, maybe it's not so easy to find like the exact, right guy, you know. Like, the one guy, you know.

Victoria Snelling: Another mechanic, maybe? Huh?

Corky: Hell, I don't care what he does. Just as long as he loves me, right - with his soul. You know, takes me for who I am.

  • Victoria Snelling: [on the phone] I may be having a brilliant streak right here in the taxi. Yes, I'm really in a taxi. No, I can't tell you right now. Um, all I can say is: I have an idea.
