This film is to Li Changdong, just as "Air Doll" is to Hirokazu-eda, both of which are their disqualifications. There are few successful cases of Haruki Murakami's novel being turned into a film, and this film also failed to break the curse. "Norwegian Forest" directed by Chen Yingying has become a place for Li Pingbin to show off his photography skills, and there are few other merits. Movies adapted from Haruki Murakami's original work may all have the same stubborn problem, that is, the characters' motives are unclear, which leads to blurred characters' personalities. Of course, whether it is this film or "The Air Doll", although it is not in line with the usual simple style of Li Cangdong and Shiro-eda, but after all, they are all made by masters. The starved camel is bigger than a horse, so it is still worth watching.
