Love in the Big River——Reflection and Criticism of Western Family Ethics

I don't have many brushes for "Love in the River", I should have done it three times. Maybe I didn't read it too carefully and didn't notice the so-called "reporting of mines".

My impression is that this is a work that reflects and criticizes the relationship between family ethics. We all know that Westerners are different from Chinese. Children will basically leave their parents when they become adults. Even if they are not far away, they will live separately from their parents. Even if the parents live together, they will pay the rent and not eat meals together. Independent living is a sign of adulthood. At least the film clearly expresses this family ethic.

The father in the film seems to regard fishing as a sign to test the maturity of the child. When the younger brother adopts a different way to fish and obtain harvests and even become a master, it is difficult to say whether the father is relieved or worried. But in fact, it is obvious that the younger brother is not ready to face life independently. He seems to be a maverick, looking for Indian girlfriends and teasing the people in the city, but his life is actually in danger because of gambling. The family knows this. But before the younger brother opened his mouth to ask for help, the family could only remind him by knocking on the side. Obviously, the younger brother will not ask his family for help. Instead, he went fishing with his family when his life was about to come to an end. He got the biggest catch by taking risks. It seems that he wanted to prove to his family and himself through this. , you can solve all the troubles yourself.

Therefore, after the death of the younger brother, even if the family does not show much obvious performance. But when the family needed help the most, they were bound by ethics and customs and could not give help, and the deep remorse that they could only watch their family walk on the road of no return was still within sight.

I think that's the part Chinese who "parents are not far away" can't understand.

I can't remember the plot, the train emits purple smoke, it's so beautiful that people want to be quiet for a lifetime

The ever-flowing river, the rope waving in the sky, will never be forgotten. Brad was young and rebellious at the time. In fact, the dark main line is a gay movie. Front and rear handling is good, with a bit of sluggishness in the middle.
