Smile

Anyway, there are a lot of things that I can't help laughing at, I've been relatively relaxed for two hours recently. Who can understand what struggling people do to survive? The existential crisis at the bottom of the United States is really like a sharp knife. Too sharp. Maybe I have to update my subconscious, thinking that it’s okay to leave school without working hard. The gap between people is revealed between the quiet efforts of others and your blatant laissez-faire.

It's really relaxing to laugh.

I appreciate Philip's holding of the black brother, as well as his self-discipline and patience in expressing denial. Maybe I should also learn this way of expressing dissent.

Telling a heartwarming story about the mutual achievements of two "problem" men with very different classes, the American version can be said to be a re-interpretation of the French original by a group of actors. The structure and main line are basically the same, and even the details are not changed much! Of course, the actors in the American version have also done their homework, and are more lively and entertaining. The part that should laugh can make people laugh, and the part that should touch can move people. However, no matter how good the copy is, it is only a high imitation product and lacks innovation. Perhaps, this is the reason why there is a certain gap between the American version and the French version. ps: More than 4 minutes have been deleted from our mainland release version, including a paragraph involving the word "sexual organs". . . .

In the storyline, the American version is 80% similar to the original version, so there is no obvious which is good or bad in the plot and character performance, especially for the role of the white rich man, Lao Bai and the original version are basically a performance mode. But the difference with the original version is that the story of the US version is very full. This kind of "fullness" leaves no room for the audience to calm down and think. And the most important point is that the French version of the soundtrack is too classic!

The Upside quotes

  • Philip Lacasse: Did you know about this? Huh?

Dell Scott: I'm sorry, P. I'm sorry you gotta have a surprise party in your huge mansion. You gotta get a bunch of expensive gifts from your rich friends. I'm sorry that you got a thoughtful executive. Some of us got real problems. I'm fighting to see my son.

Philip Lacasse: Oh. I'm sorry, D. Is a single afternoon with your son not enough to repair the years of neglect?

Dell Scott: Watch your mouth, man.

Philip Lacasse: And whose fault is it that you can't see him?

Dell Scott: Screw you. And screw your damn privilege, man.

  • Philip Lacasse: Dell, how is that Ideal app coming?

Dell Scott: You already said no to that.

Philip Lacasse: Yes, I know I said no. But I would definitely say yes right about now.
