In the film "Purple Rose of Cairo", the heroine Cecilia loved three men: her husband Munch, Tom who ran out of the movie, and actor Jill. This is one of the reasons why Cecilia finally abandoned Tom and chose Jill.

Jill is the actor who plays Tom in the film, and he and Tom are indistinguishable in appearance. But Jill's identity is a big star, and Cecilia's identity is a very ordinary petty citizen. In reality, the two are unlikely to be together. Even though Jill may have a short-lived favorable impression of Cecilia, he is more concerned about the future development of his personal career. This explains that in the end Jill used Cecilia to trick her back into reality, allowing Tom to finally return to the screen.

In the choice between Tom and Jill, it is understandable that Cecilia finally abandons Tom and chooses Jill. Tom is just a virtual character in the film, even Cecilia can walk into the screen and live in Tom's world. However, there is still a gap between life philosophy and lifestyle, and Cecilia is incompatible in identity in the world in which Tom lives. And Cecilia's love for Jill only unilaterally feels that Jill also satisfies her love concept. But there was no question of whether Cecilia herself was a better choice for Jill. There is also a disparity in status. To Jill, the plug is an item, there is only a momentary goodwill, but after using it, it is like abandoning Cecilia like a luggage class. After all, rationally speaking, Cecilia and Jill are not from the same "world" either. This "world" is different from the difference between Sai and Tang's virtual reality world.
