The plot of this film is very cliché, but the picture editing and soundtrack are top-notch and absolutely refreshing. It can be said that Takeshi Kitano's violent aesthetics are fully displayed in this film. In addition, the film also has Kitano Takeshi's usual little funny style. At the beginning, a samurai drew a sword and injured his companion, and the later part of the gambler teaching others "swordsmanship" was also quite funny.
