No matter where it is thrown by fate, it must bloom stubbornly

When I watched the movie, I didn't think it was a true story. I like everything about the beach in American movies, the sun, the sand, the handsome men and the beautiful women, it gives a sense of vitality. The surfing part of this film is very energetic and handsome, making people have the urge to learn to surf. I thought that this talented surfer girl would go on smoothly, defeat the arrogant opponent in the competition, and win everything that belongs to her. However, all the good things vanished abruptly on a sunny morning. The view from the bottom of the water is unnerving, and the crisis looms. I saw the blood dyed red in the sea, and as the girl escaped, it was drawn into a red band of blood. Under the dazzling sunlight, it permeated and disappeared in the blue sea, just like her beautiful life, disappeared.
If the girl's original life was an avenue of prosperity, then the appearance of this shark forced her to go to a fork in the road, full of sorrow and helplessness. Maybe sometimes, we can't choose what kind of path we take, because there are too many uncertain factors in life, and people are so fragile and weak. The attitude of this girl walking on this road is strong enough compared to those who have encountered the same way. She is calm and optimistic, and does not exclude the sea and surfing because of being hurt. I think this is what I lack. If you really want to accomplish something, you cannot escape or give up because of failure or difficulty. No matter where it is thrown by fate, it must bloom stubbornly. Even if you are going on a fork in the road full of thorns, you have to go on and go to the original happiness.

Soul Surfer quotes

  • [last lines, narrating]

Bethany Hamilton: I was born to surf. This is why I wake up at the crack of dawn everyday. This is why I endure belly rashes, reef cuts and muscles so tired they feel like needles. And I've learned life is a lot like surfing. When you get caught in the impact zone, you need to get right back up. Because you never know what's over the next wave. And if you have faith, anything is possible, anything at all.

  • Transworld Surf Reporter #1: Bethany, I'm from Transworld Surf Magazine. Are you upset you didn't win today?

Bethany Hamilton: I didn't come to win, I came to surf.

Fuel T.V. reporter #2: Bethany, I just wanted to ask you. If you could go back to that day, and not have gone surfing, would you do it?

Bethany Hamilton: I wouldn't change what happened to me, because then I wouldn't have this chance. In front of all of you... this chance to, embrace more people than I ever could have with two arms.
