Welcome to Downton Abbey

Welcome to Downton Abbey

Honestly this is the first time I've seen Downton Abbey; the first half of the movie is spent getting to know everyone's names and relationships (though I don't remember much), but I'm totally addicted to British humor.

But everyone got the ending they wanted at Downton Abbey, and the director and scriptwriter are definitely aestheticists, they made every character in the play have a happy ending.

The grandmother in the play is the future planner of Downton Abbey. Although she knows she will die, she still uses her spare power to plan the future of Downton. The grandmother also played the role of Professor McGonagall in "Harry Potter", and in the play, he fought with his old friend Professor Umbridge; during this period, Mrs. Crawley played a catalyst role. In the end, it was a good result - the conflict was resolved, and Downton developed under his grandmother's plan. It can be said to be "dangerous".

Mary is the eldest lady, and her grandmother reassured her to hand Downton Abbey to her management. She is a capable performer, although she gave up during the period, but because of a passage from her maid "You're making a center for the people who work here. For this village. For the county. Downton Abbey is the heart of this community and you're keeping it beating." Yes, she will persevere while there's blood in your veins. I don't know how long this family can persevere in the more turbulent times to come, but Mary will persevere to the last step. Maybe one day they will leave, their home may become a museum, the familiar BGM and long shots will not come back, but as Mrs. Hughes said to Carson at the end, "They're all gone, but Downton is still standing here.”

What did Downton bring? It is people's hope, a sense of honor to serve the royal family; as small as Downton's servants, shops; as large as community; people are quiet in such a sense of honor. Among them, different views are intertwined with male and female love, and even male-to-male love (the lovers will be married eventually).

The characters in the play have distinct personalities and a classical British taste. It brought us a completely different British experience, and we got a different regional culture, food culture, architectural culture, British tradition and a hierarchical system.

Downton Abbey is the British version of A Dream of Red Mansions, only the ending is a comedy. Very nice movie! Hahaha.

It's a goodbye.

?? It was released a day earlier! Tears filled my eyes when bgm rang! 2h’s story is very full. It’s very satisfying to see that each role is still the original actor hhhhh (spoiler alert: old lady Violet took on 70% of the laughter, still an mvp. Tom has too many tasks, is it because of Matthew’s schedule Short, taking on the role of Matthew? Anna is still the original naughty gitl! The old butler is still the same! The little butler Barrow is compared with the London boss, it is a little white rabbit!

The second lady is really beautiful after she is plump. She is a beautiful woman carved in pink and jade. The eldest lady's dress is very elegant, and her short hair suits her very well. Aside from some proletarian ideas such as "don't the servants think for a second about rebelling against their destiny as servants", the film is still very eye-catching. The same-sex kiss scene made the audience in the theater move. I don't know if the ending is a smoke bomb or a sign of the actor's exit...longlive the grandma, the old lady needs to be healthy~

Downton Abbey quotes

  • Robert Crawley: Are you excited?

Cora Crawley: I am a bit. Are you?

Robert Crawley: Would it be common to admit it?

Cora Crawley: Not to an American.

  • Mrs Hughes: [sarcastically] Well done, Charlie. Always start as you mean to go on.
