real and fantasy

From a narratological point of view, the film doesn't have much to offer. The elderly Ennis was sitting alone in the corner of the bar, when he happened to meet two young people from other places. A simple dialogue opened the prelude to the movie. The whole film is a story, and the old Enez tells his own magical experience that no one can verify in flashbacks. The plot of the movie is very touching and the effect is good. If the film really moved people, it was the innocence of young Ennis. The waterhorse is a kind of spiritual water monster, and only the innocence of children without any utilitarian intentions can truly become its friends. From another perspective, waterhorse is a symbol of nature. The British cannon broke the calm in Nice and destroyed the waterhorse's living space, and the waterhorse was angry. It capsized the boat of greedy adults. Only little Enes always cares and loves it as a friend. At this point, adults are once again losing out to children.
ps Maybe I'm used to listening to London accents and New York accents. The Scottish English in the film sounds really weird.

Humanity was won by the war, and the child retrieved it from the water monster.

    Female Tourist: What is that?

Male Tourist: It's a famous picture of the monster. But it's fake.

Female Tourist: How do you know it's fake? It looks real.

Old Angus: Oh, it's fake alright.

Male Tourist: Of course it's fake. Everyone knows that.

Old Angus: We'd know, son. There's more to that photo than meets the eye.

    Male Tourist: Oh ho, really.

Old Angus: Well, if you'd like to know the real truth.

Female Tourist: Yeah, I wanna know. Come on, it'll be fun.

Old Angus: [starts telling the story]
