human arena

To be honest, I have seen a lot of doomsday movies and novels. No matter how depressing the subject matter is, the point is to show the collapse of human nature after the collapse of the civilized world.

***But boredom is boring here, and the worst thing that happens is nothing more than a hodgepodge of sex, violence, and hunger.

***Actually the same is true. There are bleak scenes that we can't imagine happening all over the world all the time. What the audience grandpa loves to watch is not the nuclear bomb blasting Boston beyond recognition, but the wildness embodied by a group of civilized people in order to survive. That's it.

In the final analysis, we are actually watching the beasts fight, and the human beings who are enclosed in a small space fighting for instinct.

2012/04/01 The heroine of an apocalyptic movie that expresses human nature is super like milla mickey from a certain angle. It turns out that she is the hero of Terminator 1! Years have changed a lot of things. The ending is very tragic. I feel that there are not many people with brains. As a black style film, it is still ok.

The Divide quotes

  • Sam: What was that? Another bomb?

Mickey: That was our building coming down.

  • Wendi: I don't want to be down here. I want to go now.

Mickey: I know, sweetie. But Uncle Mickey says we have to stay.

    Wendi: Why?

Mickey: Because your face will melt off and your hair will fall out.
