The previous movies were really long and long. I watched this movie after watching Zhang Yimou's movie. Compared with the shadow warrior, the movie is really a bit too simple. It seems as simple as just taking out one of the preceding paragraphs and writing it into a separate article. I fell asleep when I saw it for two hours on the first day. There is no way to watch a movie at home, it is easy to fall asleep, and it is far less efficient than at school... and watch it the next day. Watching it with Haibo revealed something I wasn't expecting, which is a good thing. But on the other hand I'm always arguing with him to prove the worth of the movie to him, like he'd come out and argue with me if I said that Renas was like that.
The plot, the pictures, the music, the conflict, it's all there. Several lines of conflict are clear. The impression of Japanese movies is that they are real, down-to-earth, and there is no bells and whistles in Hollywood. Although the movie is aimed at the general public, and the feeling of the moment is everything, I do not deny it, but a good movie is worth savoring, and can make people who really care about it also feel good. (I finally figured out how to respond to Haibo's point of view) Movies are not fast-moving consumer goods, they are poetry-like works, which must be felt with the heart, and sometimes self-generate tentacles. Anyway, the movie was made so early, I don't need to say that Kurosawa is excellent...
