South and North

Recently, I have been in the British retro style, so I have made up for several famous novels, "Jane Eyre", "Pride and Prejudice", "Sense and Sensibility", and now it is "South and North". Every time I watch a movie, my girl's heart is hit hard by the gentle, affectionate and understanding (proud is a phenomenon, not the essence) male protagonist, from Fa Sha, Uncle Face, Big Cousin to Li Jianjun, all of them praise the BBC Excellent casting for the male lead.
Mr. Thornton must have fallen in love with Margaret at first sight. This girl from the south, who is beautiful and intelligent, is quite assertive, but she always goes against herself. Only then did I realize that I was also overwhelmed. The courage to confess was not as smooth as I imagined, no, I should have thought it would be like this, but did she really not even feel the slightest heartbeat towards me? Therefore, I can only use distance to get away from my pain, and work to iron my lovesickness. Until, I saw her in a close relationship with a strange man on the platform, who is this? Who is he to her? But I clearly saw her eyes dodging for a while, like a dagger hitting my heart in the middle of the night. The moonlight mottled the shadows of the trees and made the blood red on my wound even more intense. Later, my police officer friend inadvertently told me that someone witnessed her presence that day, which may be related to a murder case. Poor girl, the gears of fate kept dropping time bombs on her, and her father, my teacher, who passed away quietly shortly after her mother's death, offered to leave for London. I couldn't believe it, and I confirmed it twice. After all, this is the bad news for me. Looking at her carriage away, the corners of my mouth kept twitching, "Look back. Look back at me" was clearly meant for her, but at the moment it was more like talking to herself, drifting in the cold with the snowflakes in the sky the sky, and then disappeared with her back. Since Margaret's gone, I've lost my mind, and I seem to have to mobilize all my will to restrain myself from thinking about her. What I can reach is the "Plato" that she gave me when she left. I often look at it in a daze, and when I come back to my senses, it is already close to my face and has warmth. Until one day, I learned from Higgins that the so-called strange man was Margaret's brother. It turned out that everything was a misunderstanding! So I went to the south, where she was born and raised, with a complicated and excited mood. The afterglow of the setting sun shines on this quiet land, which is a different gesture from the north. I can finally let go of my identity as a factory owner and put my coat on my shoulders, comfortably and casually, into the beautiful pastoral scenery. All the way, stop and go, I saw a small yellow flower blooming in the bushes, I had the idea to pick it, I will give it to Margaret to prove my sincerity. She can choose to reject me again, anyway, I am already scarred, I just hope she can accept the gift from the south and relive the good old days.
"South and North" can be described as "Pride and Prejudice" in the context of the industrial age. Many people say that, and I think so too. When the two first met, the heroine Margaret had a prejudice against the hero Mr. Thornton. This irreconcilable prejudice even quietly covered the heroine's eyes, making her fall in love without knowing it. Mr. Thornton, as a person with a head and a face, is naturally arrogant, but he never imposed this arrogance on the heroine, just waiting for the heroine to make a choice. The first time I met in a factory where cotton wool was flying, it gave people the illusion of being in the snow. Eyes meet, just want to brush off the pure white on your head.
In the play, I like Higgins, the leader of the strike, who is the bridge between the bourgeoisie and the proletariat. He is selfless, always standing in the position of workers who are suffering from hunger and cold, doing fearless struggle. When someone couldn't bear the imminent compromise, he always took out his own money to bail out, and was determined to carry out the strike to the end. He has his own pride, but he is still willing to follow the advice of the hostess and seek help from Mr. Thornton, just to support the family, including the adopted boy. Mr. Thornton's mother is not as cold as she looks, her son is the center of her world, and her son is all she loves. Although she doesn't like to see Margaret, as long as her son likes it, she is willing to accept her for this reason. Being condescending is her side, and admiring vanity is her other side, but when her son is poor and unhappy, she will do everything to cherish him, and it is best to live with each other.
The final ending is naturally that the uncle hugged the beauty back, and the four episodes of tossing and turning finally exchanged for four minutes of love. The uncle's eyes were drowning for life, no wonder the heroine didn't have the courage to look directly into his eyes, and was trapped incoherently. In addition, the grand and atmospheric soundtrack of this play is also a bonus, called "I've Seen Hell".

The hero is so charming! The actors did a great job too! When he said look back, look back at me, he pokes his heart every time he thinks about it. TT may only have 4 episodes. I feel that the plot is progressing a little faster. I hope to find time to read the original!

    Atmospheric, elegant, moving.
