Jack is very smart. He knows medicine, flute, painting, and craftsmanship. Jack is stubborn. Al Pacino's performance is too tense. The performance is completely a person who has ideals, pursuits, and persistence. There is no praise or flattery.

Whether it's on Jack's side or the other side who opposes taking his own life at will, it's understandable. It's not a question of who's right and who's wrong, just like not everyone can judge like Jack whether the other person should continue to live or not need to struggle.

In the end, the part where Jack defended himself was really unbearable to watch, and his heart was severely entangled.

A wonderful film by a group of wonderful actors.

Lao Pa never backed down. The stubborn old man lost to himself. Only after experiencing it did he realize the importance and necessity of euthanasia. In terms of freedom of speech, the moon in the United States is really big and round.

I don't think it is an excellent script, the text itself is too strong. I have been wondering whether this kind of film is like "Balance", and it is even better to make a documentary. The film itself has an attitude tendency. This attitude is more pleasant than sharp, so that my eyes felt sore in the ten minutes before the sentence was pronounced.

You Don't Know Jack quotes

  • Geoffery Fieger: I'm going to kick your ass 'til my legs fall off.

  • Jack Kevorkian: It's emotionalism. You know, when heart transplants first started... there was the same prevalent feeling, I mean, even among doctors... that it was wrong, it was contrary to God's will, contrary to nature. Isn't it ghoulish to rip a person's chest open and take out a heart? Or a bypass operation? Ether is the same thing. You have ether, been around for centuries, it wasn't used. Not till 1846. It was discovered in 1543... and before that, everybody was being operated on while they were awake. Surgeons were cutting them open while they were awake. Did you know that, Geoff?

    Geoffery Fieger: No.

Jack Kevorkian: On, yes. And you know why it was banned? Because of religious dogma. Because of the foolish notion... that there's a God Almighty who wills us to suffer.
