All of her later films repeat almost the same theme: the pursuit. Leaving or entering, persistently, blurs the starting point.

The water lily symbolizes "innocence", and the painter seems to have only one symbol left. What she pursued so hard might just be the pursuit itself. Love innocence? In love with innocence? In love with love?
Does she love painters? who knows.
How many people persistently pursue a contour that is no longer clear, and have long forgotten to fall in love with a clear shadow, or fall in love with love.
