It's hard to describe how I feel at the moment. To be honest, I should not like this film very much. There are many reasons for not liking it. The outdated footage, the incomprehensible American political trend, and the two people who can see the ending at a glance. But can't get over it. The Way We Were, isn't it the true self? Two people with such a distinct personality conflict have struggled to compromise but can't change each other. Does it lead to the demise of the love here or the immortality? Originally, I must have sneered at this combination from the beginning, but now I find that having "feelings of the past" may not be so bad. Therefore, it may be too narrow to define Katie as a woman who likes politics but is not loved by men. After all, the film still gives meager hope in the end.
