Outside the ceiling

"Children in a Basket" is the first movie my cousin asked me to watch. I didn't know until today that there is actually "Children in a Basket 2". In the movie theater, I only cared about silly fun, but now I watch it again, but I feel a lot of emotion. I know that I have changed, and I can no longer simply enjoy a family comedy.

In order to emphasize the dramatic conflict, the neighbors in the first part and Jimmy in the second part have a bitter face. However, I somewhat agree with the words of the neighbor’s wife: “I can only say that they are irresponsible.” Irresponsible to the children, and irresponsible to myself.

How to strike a balance between family and career, it is difficult to have a one-size-fits-all answer. The film ended with a concession in his father's career. I don't think this is a happy ending. After all, the two are equally valuable and should not be placed on opposite sides.

But even in the most difficult moment of the Bakers family, the wife's sacrifice is not taken for granted, and the Bakers' contribution to the family is equal. I have seen too many visible or invisible ceilings for women in real life, and it is good to be able to glimpse the world outside the ceiling.

(20111002) (20210115) It turned out to be brushed ten years ago, and I have no memory. Ten years later, I think that the role of my mother is actually very wise, otherwise how can I "deal with" 12 "Arhats".
