In the American film "Little Boy", the eight-year-old boy Pepper is only 39 inches tall. Because of being short and thin, he is often bullied by the bad boys in the town and nicknamed "Dwarf". Dad James and magician Ben Eagle inspired him that with a strong faith and willpower, miracles can happen. He and his dad learned to ride a bike, get a haircut, play hero games together, and believed in the motto of magician Ben Eagle: Do you believe you can do it! His older brother James London couldn't join the army because of his flat feet. The father went on the expedition in place of his son and went to the battlefield. The little boy Pepper misses his father day and night, and hopes that his father can return safely from the battlefield. Speaking of "Little Boy", it is easy to think of the "Little Boy" atomic bomb dropped by the US military over the center of Hiroshima, Japan at the end of World War II. Although the "little boy" is small, it has a lot of energy, causing hundreds of thousands of casualties in Hiroshima, of which about 70,000 were vaporized on the spot due to the high temperature of the nuclear explosion. The name of the film "Little Boy" is to use the perspective of an 8-year-old boy to reveal the truth in life that "don't be afraid of being small, but your energy is just as big" and "as long as you believe in yourself, miracles will happen". In order to let his father go home safely, the little boy Pepper followed the advice of Father Oliver and completed the tasks listed in the "ancient checklist" mentioned in the Bible one by one. And completed a "vital" task specially added by Father Oliver: to make friends with Hashimoto, a Japanese expatriate (the priest's original words: even the smallest hatred is not enough). Hence the belief that he can move mountains (a coincidence of earthquakes). Every evening at the seaside against the sunset (in the direction of Japan), the war was finally ended (in fact, the drop of the atomic bomb accelerated the surrender of Japanese imperialism), and so on. The whole film tells us that the little boy Pepper is pure in heart, full of love, and is a good boy full of positive energy. His love for his father was strong enough to overcome all forces.

Yesterday Hiroshima was attacked by an atomic bomb, codename: ......little boy. This line made me laugh, and the gratified laugh was also a moving laugh. ps. No one thinks the little boy looks like Colomo Ryze?

    Great acting, boring plot.

Little Boy quotes

  • Fr. Crispin: If we have faith the size of a mustard seed, we can move the mountain. If we can move a mountain, nothing will be impossible for us. Not even with ending this war... and having our love one back.

Ben Eagle Narrator: [thinking of the magician he had seen] I already knew someone who could move a mountain. I wondered if the source of his powers was the mustard seed.

  • [first lines]

Ben Eagle Narrator: [narrating] This is O'Hare, California. Back then it was nothing more than a sleepy fishing village, with a hill at the end of Main Street. Like you see in postcards. My story takes place on the home front, in the midst of World War II. That's me, the little fella.

    Photographer: [motioning to the youngest]

    Little Boy: Closer?

Freddy Fox: [ribbing him] Stop causing trouble, you midget.

Ben Eagle Narrator: Nobody in that town liked me much.

    Photographer: One, two, three.

    [flash]

Ben Eagle Narrator: I was eight years old. But the story really starts the day I met my dad. My only friend. My partner.

    Nurse Barbara: He's a boy!

    James Busbee: Wow! He's so...

    Nurse Barbara: What? Little?

James Busbee: Well, he'll grow. Right?
