Turn reality into fiction

The trailer is full of blood, and I look forward to the Russian remake to show the tragicness of this great battle, but except for the war scene where half sea water and half flames at the beginning, the whole movie is like a drink from a person who does not understand history and war at all. A story that came up while falling in love with coffee.

I have always disliked war-themed movies that talk too much about love. These soldiers used their youth and lives to defend the Soviet Republic, not for love, but for their motherland and faith. The two female characters in the story seem to exist for the sake of acting. Especially the German officer, in the final attack, what he showed was the anger and revenge of losing his lover. This little love turned out to be a key factor in the attack, which is staggering. The characterization of the five Soviet fighters has a similar problem, with each person's characteristics and story being ambiguous, which is a thousand miles away from "Saving Private Ryan". Just imagine that if these love factors are removed, the characters are shaped through the relationship between several warriors, and the characters and plots may be fuller with several attacks as the advancement. As a result, because of the female characters, the dynamics of the story revolve around them rather than the war itself. Several motives for the actions of the Soviet soldiers on the front line were to celebrate the heroine's birthday, to protect her safety and hide in the tower, to find her and the soldiers who took her to the tower; the front line of the German soldiers sent food for their lover and brought her back to the barracks due to affection. , hid her in the tower, and bombed the house where the Soviet fighters were stationed in revenge for her. This is just a simple list, but everyone who is smart will find that the key driving force for the development of the plot is related to the two women. As a war movie, such a design loses the opportunity to elaborate on the theme. The innermost contradictions and desires of the characters should not be expressed through love scenes, resulting in the film being neither profound nor grand.

What does the film want to express, is it patriotism? Is the battle cruel? Or is love precious? Neither explained. It's hard to resonate with a film without attitudes and opinions, and I can't understand the meaning of the Fukushima nuclear power plant at the beginning and the end. The rhythm of the film is generally slow, and I can see the lightness of the sky in many moments. The brutal, tragic, and grand scenes of the war, the display of human nature has nothing to expect, and it is far from the classic Soviet films.

A lot of the movies made now are not as good as the original ones, which is very thought-provoking. Technological innovation, the cost of shooting is much higher than in the early days, but the works are not as good as before. I don't know if it's because of social and cultural changes or because we don't value filmmaking anymore.
