Devilman 8.0

I used to write a movie review of a horror film and said, "I try not to watch the tragedy that I knew earlier, and when I come across a famous horror film, I justify myself and say that it has been spoiled anyway, so I won't watch it. It will take a long time. Later, after reading the screenwriting book and summarizing the bad routines of one, two, three and four, I can finally change my mind to watch horror movies in an atmosphere of laughter and laughter.”

I know a thing or two about "Devil Man", and I vaguely know Zhiyu, but I really can't resist Yuasa Masaki's name. After watching it overnight, I vomited three liters of blood.

Let's talk about demons.

The original manga came out half a century ago and was known as one of the three masterpieces of the 1970s. At that time, it was still the era of Osamu Tezuka. Adult elements, pornography, violence, brutality, and religious solemnity were introduced earlier. The story is roughly that the cowardly crying boy Fudo gained the power of demons and fought against the demons to save mankind. He failed and the earth was destroyed.

Today we see "The Legend of Sword Wind", "Tokyo Seed Food", "Parasitic Beast" and so on, all of which are deeply influenced by it.

Let's talk about Masaaki Yuasa.

Yuasa Masaki is not very good at telling stories. Both "Four Stacks and a Half" and "A Short Spring Night" are more about Tomihiko Morimi. The main plot of "Mind Game" is actually quite simple, relying on exquisite structure and short-term information. The volume overload and unparalleled visual performance are bluffing. The story of "Beast Claw" is very old-fashioned, and the rhythm still has problems in the later stage.

But Masaaki Yuasa is good at drawing "feelings". Take my favorite "Mind Game" for example -

Of all the movies I've seen, including small movies, this is the first in terms of sex scenes. We were pushed together by the tide in the belly of the whale, sniffed each other for a while, our eyes were blurred, the steam spewed out of our heads, the whistle sounded, and when we hugged, we transformed from butterflies to chrysalis, birds, snakes, and Gorgeous abstract color blocks.

I have learned his unscrupulousness everywhere, and when I come here, others are stunned, but I think he is just rehearsing his best tricks, and he is familiar with it.

Finally, let's talk about editing.

The original manga is not long with 1,000 pages in 5 volumes, and the time is limited, so I hurriedly flipped through it. There are pros and cons in comparison.

In terms of roughness and solemnity, the original is even better.

The new version of the heroine, Meishu, is better shaped. She is a convincing white lotus with rich details and self-consistent logic. Therefore, she is the last reason why she is the hero and still willing to protect human beings. That's why she was tortured and killed. The ending is suffocatingly hopeless.

The original ending is far superior to the new version. After the war, the earth is about to fall apart, and the second male bird will fly. That is to say, the final boss will lie side by side with the dead body and look up at the starry sky. He is Satan who was exiled by the gods. It was only then that he suddenly realized that destroying a race out of personal love and hatred was no different from that of the gods.

At this time, the gods in the starry sky will punish the earth, and the earth will be completely destroyed and then reshaped, but the birds only look down at the immobile bright, quietly do not speak, love and hate pure and dirty, all in this eye.

This ending is good enough. In the new version, it makes the birds cry. It would be good if the "crybaby" echoes the subtitle. At the end, there will be a wail like a little daughter-in-law, and it will be boring.

Time is limited, no more details.
