I had insomnia yesterday, so I watched a movie and watched "Icy Tropical Fish". There was a proprietor in it, who opened a very large fish shop, and he believed in a thoroughgoing materialism. He murdered and then dismembered the body with his wife. The police could not get any evidence. After he killed at least 30 people, he was killed by his own men. When he was fighting with his men, his beautiful and attractive wife didn't help anyone, just watched them fight, just like a female animal in the animal world. Males fight for the right to mate. Then the boss lost and was dying, the boss ordered her to kill the boss, she killed the boss (her ex-husband), and then started to directly corpse...
This subordinate was originally an honest, good-natured man, who believed in beauty, was indifferent to the world, and liked to go to the planetarium to see the universe. Contrary to the boss, it is a moderate idealism. Later, the boss fucked her wife and forced him to help him dismember the body, and he also turned into that kind of thorough materialism.
I have never accepted materialism, and I am also a moderate and honest person, but sometimes it is interesting to think along the lines of others. The boss knew that when he went to the planetarium, he despised him and said: I don't think the earth is a smooth beautiful blue sphere at all, I think the earth is flat and a rotten stone. This is called complete materialism, not believing in beauty. In their view, beauty is for mating. Like the beautiful feathers of birds, it attracts the opposite sex. Beauty itself is only a means, not an end. So any poetic dwelling is pure self-deception. But human aesthetics and art are the product of the division of labor in human society, and some people are specially responsible for the production of "beauty" products, so there are artists. Plato's aesthetics - what rational beauty of the essence, and later "art for art's sake", pure aesthetics, pure art, pure literature, in a word - pure nonsense, art Practitioners lie, intentionally or unintentionally, in order to elevate themselves.
In the same way, true materialists do not believe that history has a purpose, nor do they believe in the theory of evolution. They believe that everything in the universe, including living things, including human society, is an arrangement of atoms and molecules, just by chance, by chance. We are human, we are conscious, we are so special, so alone, and there are so few opportunities for life in the universe. Similarly, there is no "evolution" or "degeneration", the universe is a random movement, but the history of human beings is too short, and it happens that everything around them is becoming complex, and they think that the universe will develop from simple to complex. In fact, there is no development, just like the wind goes east for a while and west for a while, history has not moved forward, just random evolution. People used to think that the earth was flat, but now people think that society will continue to develop - all of which are true. People keep walking on the earth and will return to the original point, and so will society. Textbooks say they are "historical materialists", but they are not materialists, they are just Hegelians.
The above seems to be very reasonable, but I still doubt its correctness. I think it is impossible for people to know the universe, because we are part of the universe, and I am a subjective idealist, and I believe in Kant's set more.
The above is a completely materialistic worldview. According to the textbook model, the following should be the methodology. According to the general idea, a moderate idealist becomes a complete materialist after awakening. If he used to make art for the sake of art and regard beauty as the goal, he should now listen to the persuasion of the people around him, especially his family. Or hurry up to find a woman, hurry up to mate, and pass on the lineage. The sea of beauty is boundless, and it is not necessary to look back... In the eyes of ordinary people, they observe animals and find that the purpose of animals is to inherit the lineage and continue the race, so they think that everything, including people, should be like this. The fundamental purpose of life is Succession. But a thorough materialist should think like this: the instinct of animals, the continuation of races, is actually not a fundamental purpose, but just a kind of inertia of random movement in nature, just like the northwest wind always blows in winter, the leaves are naturally smooth Fly with the wind. The reproductive instinct is also like the northwest wind, and the animals are like fallen leaves, all flying with the wind. You shouldn't think that the direction of the northwest wind is where all things in the world belong because you see fallen leaves flying along the northwest wind. So succession and historicism, like art for art's sake, are just wishful thinking. So young literary and artistic people don't have to worry about finding a mate... A true and thorough materialist should see through everything, be at ease, pursue nothing, and act willfully, just like the saying in "Easy Travel" like that. The beginning is the Xiaozhi stage, conforming to your own nature, working hard to hone yourself, spreading your wings like a roc, and soaring into the sky. When you reach the stage of great wisdom, you will no longer be able to distinguish yourself from external things, and you will indulge in a state of forgetting both things and yourself, doing nothing. Therefore, Lao and Zhuang's thinking is closer to thorough materialism than the set of textbooks. Therefore, if young literary and artistic people understand the mystery, they don't have to give up literature and return to the world and continue to devote themselves to art. It's just that at the moment of devotion, there is no need to be tragic or sigh, it's just a game.
