It's an old film from 2005, and it's worth looking back.

The story begins with a car accident. All the people in it died. I don't know why Ren Dahua was the only one who survived. It is said that this was done by the gang boss Sammo Hung. And then as a policeman, Ren Dahua always wanted to send Hong Jinbao to prison, but there was not enough evidence. Then Ren Dahua deliberately smashed Sammo Hung's place. Later, Sammo Hung asked his thug Wu Jing to kill three of Ren Dahua's men. It turned out that Ren Dahua's subordinates took Hong Jinbao's money privately, saying that it was for Ren Dahua's goddaughter. In the end, Ren Dahua brought a bag of money to Sammo Hung and was beaten half to death. Donnie Yen also brought a bag of money to Sammo Hung. He fought with Wu Jing for a long time on the way, and finally killed Wu Jing. Finally, he fought Sammo Hung and beat Sammo Hung to the ground. But in the end, Sammo Hung finally pushed Donnie Yen downstairs, killing his own wife and daughter, and Sammo Hung was distraught. It is said that the mainland version also changed the ending. I think it's very powerful as a martial arts movie. The gangster's killer Wu Jing wears white clothes, but the justice policeman Donnie Yen wears black clothes. The contrast between the two is very sharp. I think this is a bit interesting.

The movie Killing the Wolf has gone beyond the ordinary moviegoer's interest in watching movies. Looking at it now, I think it is a chronological history of Hong Kong action films, a milestone. It's a benchmark even in action movies on a global scale

Ye Weixin and Donnie Yen complement each other. Ye can't do without Zhen Jiaban's visualization and fighting style, and Zhen can't do without Ye's ability to make the camera position officially join the rhythm of the fight, not just the neat tricks reserved for space. It's no wonder that, aside from accommodating Big Brother Hong and having to do half-dozen tricks, these two episodes of Slaying the Wolf became the best MMA movies of all time -- in fact, even the best modern martial arts movies, in my opinion.
