First of all, I really like the way of expression in this movie. Several frames are cut from far and near shots or short stays in PPT style, rendering a strong horror atmosphere. I also like the two-perspective narrative of this movie. From the perspective of the protagonist's family and the frog dweller, the novel narrative method reminds me of the movie Kojima Cry... The clown is myself.
However, it is strange that what I saw was plain and uninteresting. After reading it, I was reflecting on this problem. Later, I wanted to understand that there were two problems, one was the lack of imagination, and the other was the deviation of the plot.
For the first question, the director deprived fans of suspense thrillers of fun. He unnecessarily expanded some of the sources of detail that we can infer. Let me give you an example. There is a fragment in which the mother discovered the frog and frog mask under the bed of her son. We can think of a certain fragment of a frog who stayed under the bed, so there is a mask, we will feel wow, that's how it is. On the contrary, his father saw that the picture frame was missing, and he found a picture with his eyes cut off on the wall. Then when you cut into the Frogman’s perspective, don’t release this clip of the photo he is cutting because you want to prove that it was him. As a movie viewer, we can guess. Too much explanation will not make the plot fuller, but will only make it lose its elasticity, which is very pale and rigid.
As far as the plot is concerned, I have no power to complain. I can't find the hot spots of the whole drama, I think it can be changed like this. The whole movie is unfolded from the perspective of a digging boy. Because he was sexually assaulted in his childhood, he has a strange and withdrawn character, just like the man who escaped with him with a shabby face. Then he lived in the host’s house. The first half of the movie could completely make him neurotic. From time to time, he was playing with green knives and watching the yellow car in the forest from afar on rainy days, and let him watch the movie. People think that this big brother is an imitative killer, and started a cat and mouse game with the male owner. The climax of the reversal is when he gets into the yellow car, and then is caught in a sack. When he opens his eyes again, he confronts the hero and starts a wonderful game. After that, the frog man somehow gained the upper hand. The male host was shot.
At the end of the film, Frogman calls the police and rescues the boy in the yellow car. The narrative recording of Frogman fifteen years ago is interspersed with the scene of the male host hooking up Frogman. The film ends.
Don't say it too thorough, don't make the form more than the content, just like a bitch who doesn't have a second chance to be as concise, just fine.
