To be honest, I was ready to watch bad movies before watching the new version of "Ben Xu". After all, there are 59 editions of jewels ahead, but after watching it, I didn't expect bad movies to be so bad.
1. Soul.
The 59 version of the movie is not so much the Revenge of Binxu, as it is the Passion of the Nativity, the two main lines complement each other, through Binxu's personal experience, to tell the Christian fraternity and forgiveness.
To be honest, I don’t like movies with too heavy ideology, whether it’s religion or other doctrines, but I have to admit that religion is the soul of the 59 version of Binxu.
The 06 version of the movie has deleted all religious content and emotions, and on the surface it caters to the fast-paced habit of modern people who hate preaching, but in fact it has lost the soul of the original and has become a naked brothers revenge movie.
2. Difficulties.
In the original book, Messara is a Roman and Binxu is a Jew. Even if the two are good friends, due to their different natural stances, a rift was created in the ethnic conflict. For the sake of personal future and the glory of Rome, Messara finally set down and framed Bin. Virtual family.
In the new version of the movie, Meisala became the adopted son of the Benxu family. Because of falling in love with Benxu's sister, she was troubled by her adoptive mother. In the end, she ran away and became a Roman officer through military exploits, confessing the root cause for her brothers in the future.
In the original work, Binxu's sister stunned the consul in Rome because she accidentally touched the tiles on the top of the tail, causing the whole family to be wronged and imprisoned. The new film allows Binxu and his sister to be the accomplices of the rebels, because they sympathized with an injured rebel who left them at home, and the wolf was led into the room. The rebels fled after failing to assassinate the Roman consul with a bow and arrow, and the Binxu family were arrested. .
On the surface, the drama conflicts have become stronger, but the elements of Bin Xu's injustice have actually been weakened, making people feel that his family was arrested for reason, and it is difficult for the audience to sympathize.
Even more ridiculous is that the Roman consul in the new film emphasized: According to the Roman Code, the life of a Roman = 10 Jews, and the death of a Roman would cost 20 Jews' lives. And the Binxu family committed such a serious crime, and they weren't crucified?
3. Revenge.
In the original film, Binxu never forgets his revenge after being exiled to the battleship. The tenacity touched the captain, so the captain ordered to remove his fetters before the battle began. He saved the ship by accident. Long, he was eventually pardoned by Caesar as a criminal and returned to Jerusalem for revenge.
In the new version, this process is omitted directly, not to mention whether the plot of Bin Xu breaking free after sinking into the sea is reasonable. Just say that an Arab black civilian businessman (?), carrying a box of gold, can ask the consul to pardon a prisoner? And this prisoner was charged with assassinating the consul himself?
Is it dead for you to be a Roman Codex editor?
4. Forgiveness.
In the old version of the movie, Bin Xu watched Mesala die after revenge, but he still couldn't save his mother and sister. His heart was filled with hatred that was nowhere to vent. He was eventually influenced by Christ, defeated himself, and sublimated his spirit.
In the new version of the movie, the big villain Mesala not only did not die, she took the knife one second before preparing to retaliate against Bin Xu, and the next second she was influenced by Bin Xu's hug and dropped the knife. Jiqing defeated the hatred, and the TMD style of painting became too fast.
What's more, at the end of the happy ending, the two brothers once again ride horses. At that moment I thought of "Returning Pearls and Gege"-ah, ah, ah~~~ Let us live a life of life in the company of Hongchen, riding horses to share the prosperity of the world...
5. Characters.
In the 59 version of the movie, it is said that there are more than 100 characters who have lines. Many of them have not played for a long time and spoke very little, but they are really impressive, such as Caesar and Benxu's old housekeeper with only a few sentences.
The reason why a literary work is great is that the protagonist supports the whole story like a tree trunk, and that various supporting characters fill the whole work like branches and leaves.
In the new movie, too many characters have been deleted, and a leafy tree has been chopped down into telegraph poles, which is really boring. Imagine that if the supporting roles of Jiao Da, You Er, You San, Si Chun, and Grandma Liu were gone in the Dream of Red Mansions, and only Bao Dai Chaixi and Jia Mu were left, could it still be called a Dream of Red Mansions?
6. Music.
I always think that a good film soundtrack should have different styles of music in different plots, but there must be a main theme running through it, and other soundtracks are harmonious but different from it.
A successful example is Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. The background music is intense, light and thoughtful, but what can't be erased is a touch of sadness.
The old version of Binxu’s music is very classic, sounded just right, ended silently, and has its own main line. But unfortunately, the new version of the music is messy and disorganized, leaving people without any deep memories.
7. Lines.
The humorous, affectionate, and philosophical lines in the old version are not in the new version. 8. Actors.
Can I complain about the ugly appearance of the new movie actors?
9. Rhythm.
The old version is 3 hours and 40 minutes, and the new version is 2 hours.
Although the boss is long and the plot advances slowly, but the setting, characters, and music are extremely beautiful, and there is no extra line in the lines. As long as you can calm down and take a closer look, there will be surprises.
The new version did not give me such a feeling. It is supposed to be more in line with modern people’s aesthetics, and the pace is faster, but unfortunately, if it weren’t for the horse war in the second half of the horse fight, I’d almost fall asleep. .
The styles of the two films are completely different. Watching the old version of the movie feels like dating a beautiful girl. You talk and have dinner together and finally hug and sleep. Although the progress is slow, it is memorable.
Watching the new version of the movie feels like you have another hot girl ready to have a candlelight dinner. The girl said directly:
Boss, let's open the house directly, and I have to go to the next house when it's over.
