Complement each other

Different from the previous films that express the emotions of father and son, the two are placed in the same space at the same time, and they are in a special environment like a prison. There is a clear contrast effect in the form of expression. The style of the image is cold and realistic, expressing the tender theme of father and son. It just complements each other.

The fly in the ointment is that apart from the father and son, the other characters are severely flat, without any motivational explanation, the plot logic is seriously lacking, and the wonderful performance of the father and the son more or less conceal the defects of the story. All in all, this is an impressive movie, although it is slightly cold.

And everything's sweet yeah? Crime rates starts to come down, police got less people to nick, courts got less people to convict.

Eric: Pretty soon you're out of a job.

Eric: [Prison Guard moans and twitches in discomfort] Do you mind?

  • Dennis Spencer: Starred Up means you're leader.
