Frustrated Fang·Zero

Since it's a trilogy, we shouldn't look at them with a split eye, so we made up the last one that we didn't finish, which is the prequel. The disgusting beginning made my memory instantly travel back to last year, or the year before, I forgot why I gave up half of it, but remembered the bloody scene with great visual impact.
Compared with the second part, the third part is back to the original and the secret room of the first part, abandoning the infinite possibilities of four-dimensional space. The innovation is that it shows a new perspective of observation, that is, the manipulator of the secret room, everything seems to be caught in a huge network of conspiracy. Official sources claimed that those who were caught in the close room were death row prisoners. They signed a voluntary obedience regulation, but they did not realize that the truth had long been wrapped up in lies and dying. The fact is that the brains of the people who put them in the secret room are implanted with chips. They forget everything, including their own identity. They have to go through various "Rubber's Cube" experiences, and in the end no one can get out alive.
The climax started with the compassionate heart of Eric, the programmer. He caught a glimpse of a woman with wisdom and courage in the monitoring room. He did not find her signature agreement, so he prepared to enter the agency alone to implement heroes to save the beauty. He knew the inner workings, so he found them who were still alive without any difficulty. If I remember correctly, there are only the woman he loves and a black man at the moment. He just wanted to check the coordinates corresponding to the south, east, and northwest, and the superior one-eyed boss ordered his men to activate the dissolving device, which was a great trick. Then just as their lives were at stake, the courage to put their lives aside, the courage to save them, was the destiny of course waiting for him. At the end, the heroine escapes into the forest, and the hero is captured and used as a mouse on the operating table. The more mysterious point is that after the programmer erased his memory, he became a fool with a high IQ who didn't know anything, corresponding to the person who successfully escaped in the first secret room.
What made me unable to calm down the most for a long time was the last test faced by people who succeeded in breaking through the barrier, a "Do you believe in god" problem. After experiencing physical and mental torture, I want to make people believe in God, for Jesus Christ! No one has ever answered yes, which means that no one has ever escaped. Opportunity is just an alternative rhetoric from game makers.
In short, the film is full of governmentism and dystopia, and I prefer the first strong humanistic atmosphere, what is freedom, what is democracy, but you are the sword, and I am slaughtered by the fish...

After half a year, I finally finished reading the Cube series. The prequel is more about explanation, and the illness is linked to the first part. But I still can't understand why they want to turn the protagonist into a dementia

Oh shit you killed everything! I'm not grading!

Cube Zero quotes

  • Jax: Order number 793-bla-bla-bla-bla: Commence standard series of needle tests on Raine's group.

    [pauses and continues whispering]

Jax: You do know what that means?

Dodd: Yes, sir! Of course, sir. All in a days work, sir. Right away, sir.

Jax: Do us a teensy favor and use mister Wynn's auxiliary monitor, we'll need the big guns here for our little mouse-hunt.

Dodd: Of course, sir. Anything I can do to help, sir.

Jax: That's the spirit, mister Modd. Way to keep the world safe for democracy...

  • Jax: [Dodd has swallowed a widget needed to power the cube] Cute. And rather cliche, in an endearing kind of way. Unfortunately, I do believe there is a penalty; a rather strict penalty for sabotaging state property.

[blows dust from pen into Dodd's face and Dodd collapses]

Jax: Ooh, instant paralysis, they weren't kidding, were they?

[he bends down to cut Dodd open]

Jax: However, not to worry, Mr. Dodd. You will still be able to feel.
