2009 marks the bicentenary of Darwin’s birth and the 150th anniversary of "Origin of Species". In order to commemorate it, the BBC spent four years filming such a shocking documentary. This film strives to show the diversity of the colorful species in nature and the magical survival skills they have evolved to adapt to the environment.

"Life" uses ten episodes to tell the survival stories of different life individuals in the natural world, showing the vitality and power of life under the presentation of high-definition images. The lens shuttles under the cover of various natural landscapes, allowing a glimpse of the unique charm of life. Here, bottlenose dolphins swaying their tails arouse the muddy curtain wall to prey on fish. Looking down from above, they seem to be depicting huge portraits; cheetahs occasionally go out in groups to round up huge ostriches; octopus mothers for the smooth production of children It is possible to guard the young eggs without eating or drinking until they die, showing the greatness of maternal love; in order to seek the eyes of the opposite sex, birds do their best to sing, dance, and dress up their love nests. The great process of courtship is always in life. The golden moment of life; after thousands of years of evolution, plants have been able to adapt to various environments. They chase the sunlight majesticly upwards. The natural cycle depends on the rush of every life to bloom; primates are the closest creatures to humans, and they share Tools, transfer wisdom, and spend several years teaching future generations the skills to survive, a race can continue to continue. There are countless animals and plants in "Life", and the images only allow us to see those spaces that we are far from reachable, and to observe the strange amorous feelings of these living individuals. We are so far away from nature and the colorful world of life. We often feel the meaning of life, but we never see those who are constantly struggling to survive. "Life" makes life more shocking.
