Car hunting, melee combat, and explosions have always been elements that Hollywood action movies will not miss.
Of course, the most important thing is the so-called "protagonist power", that is:
absolute evasion of any number of barrage,
critical escape before arbitrary blasting,
As well as suffering any blow, it will not hurt or die.

The above exhibits can be said to be old-fashioned game industry, more "contemporary" action movies, generally will add some more novel elements.
The Marine as a "good" "contemporary" action film, its highlights obviously the car is

one of: gas station a police car

as a police car, it has the appearance of a cool
and its durability is definitely not an ordinary car can be compared
first: the bandit chieftain batter with a pistol, broken only point of the glass
and then : The gas station exploded and was unscathed (it looks like the police interrogated the bandit when the gas pipe was plugged in, and then hung up. The gas pipe shouldn’t be pulled out?)
Then: Highway chase, due to the protagonist’s power, All the bullets were carried by the police car. It became a honeycomb in time, the performance of the car has not been affected in any way, and the tires have never been broken.
And then: the front cover flew off, the front bumper flew off, the roof flew off, and the Mercedes-Benz remained the same.
It was not until the end that the protagonist broke out very tacitly after the critical escape

. The container truck (front)

truck is well known, but this time it shows its excellent safety performance.
We can observe a series of collisions in the film. :
Strike against wooden structures, metal structures...
and then hit the fuel barrel in a row (note the keyword "continuous") several times (note: the keyword "several times") frontally (note: the keyword "front"), Chemical tanks, and caused multiple (note: keyword "many times") violent (note: keyword "violent") explosion and
finally hit the warehouse wall and rushed into the water
Due to the handcuffs, the heroine cannot even use the back of the chair as a cover.
However, we can clearly find that the heroine has not been affected by collisions and explosions to any extent.

Summary:

From the above, we can see the trend of contemporary action movies. Several possibilities: the super-systemization of vehicles, or the selective extension of the protagonist’s power.

A silly movie, nothing to watch, nothing to say, just three words, silly.

Very old-fashioned plot, obviously copied from Schwarzenegger's commandos, but the action is still relatively hot.

The Marine quotes

  • Bennett: This guy is like the terminator.

Rome: [looks in the over head mirror]

  • Kate Triton: You're home!

    [kisses John]

John Triton: [after making love to her] You all right?

    Kate Triton: Yeah... yeah, I just - I can't believe you're here.

    [kisses him and hugs him]

Kate Triton: You know the hardest thing... about you leaving was not knowing. You know, not knowing where you were... not knowing if you're coming home... not knowing if I'm gonna get that phone call saying that you wouldn't be.

John Triton: You married a marine, Kate.

Kate Triton: I know it's not gonna be easy for you, John. We'll figure it out together.

John Triton: I'm home now and I'm not goin' anywhere.

Kate Triton: Good. And speaking of that... are you sure about starting this job tomorrow?

    John Triton: Oh!

Kate Triton: I just think there's so many other things you could be doing.

John Triton: If I sat around here all day, I'd go insane.

Kate Triton: I just want you to be happy, John.

John Triton: I am happy. Come on...

    [picks her up]

Kate Triton: Oh! Geez... where are we going?

John Triton: To make me happy.
