Don't judge others

In fact, I don't really watch theology movies, because a teacher in a class asked to watch this movie. I was deeply impressed by the dialogue between the hero Mike and the goddess of wisdom. We should not regard ourselves as God, let alone the right to judge others, who is good and who is bad? We have no right to judge who should go to heaven and who should go to hell. Forgiving others is also letting go of yourself. I don’t know when, we love to judge others, especially moral approval. There are a lot of things that only know one-sidedness and start verbal criticism, even cyber violence. Just like the goddess of wisdom said, you will draw conclusions based on a person's skin color. If you see a girl wearing less clothes, you think she has style problems, etc. This kind of society is really uncomfortable. The whole picture is unknown, no comment, hope I will remember

The Shack quotes

  • Holy Spirit (Sarayu): Let me ask you, how confident are you in your ability to discern good from evil?

    Mack Phillips: Usually pretty obvious.

Holy Spirit (Sarayu): And your basis for something being good is what?

Mack Phillips: Well, if it helps me, or the people that I love.

    Holy Spirit (Sarayu): And evil?

Mack Phillips: It's harmful. If it hurts someone I care about.

Holy Spirit (Sarayu): So, pretty much, you are the judge?

    Mack Phillips: Yeah, I guess.

Holy Spirit (Sarayu): You ever been wrong? Or changed your opinion over time?

    Mack Phillips: I mean, sure.

Holy Spirit (Sarayu): And there are billions like you, each determining what you think is good and evil. And when your good clashes with your neighbor's evil, arguments ensue. Wars break out. Because all insist on playing God. You weren't meant to do any of that.

  • Mack Phillips: God has time to catch a few rays?

Papa: [chuckles] Honey, you have no idea how much I'm doin' right now.
