But this film still confused me.
Just because of the sudden spring tide during the teenage years, a woman just put her youth in this way on someone she doesn't even know? Just like Chiyoko was asked a series of things about the artist in the film, but he was speechless. She didn't know him, and it was hard for us to figure out what Chiyoko loves this painter in the end. It would be ridiculous if only "a young girl cherishes the spring" to explain the love of most of his life.
Well, if you insist on saying "This is love", that's okay. But if it's such a literary art, then the film's effort in sensationalism is obviously not enough. The fact is that the audience's attention is more attracted by the funny Tachibana Gento. In the end, it feels that this love is inexplicable.
To take a step back, even if it is the final interpretation of "love is only the process", it cannot conceal the lack of emotional tone and motivation of chasing love in the whole film, or it is weak. Such a thin interpretation of love motives and emotional foreshadowing are weak. Supporting such a big, such a gorgeous time, a span of virtuality and reality.
If he is only focusing on the pursuit process, then the more gorgeous he is in production and the more sophisticated the conception, the more top-heavy he feels, and the more he feels-to put it more bluntly-to show off with strange skills. Unless you admit that the theme of the film is not love. But if it's not love, I really don't know what kind of theme the film wants to show. Just describe the chase of a lifetime? What is the meaning of chasing?
In short, there needs to be a balance between the emotional core and the technical settings, which can determine the quality of the film.
