Love of "icing on the cake" or love of "sending charcoal in the snow"?

I watched this film because of a photo album of my friend, which is called Perfect Life. She cut a lot of pictures of movies and then wrote what she thought were the elements of a perfect life in the illustrations. Among them, the screenshot of this film shows how Alper and Ada were cooking at home when he was in love with Ada. The illustration is "Someone loves you and will cook." I thought it was right at the time, so I watched this movie. However, the plot still cannot be guessed.

In fact, the poster of this movie is very different. The eye movements of both people are very interesting. According to psychology, the Turkish man on the right side of the poster crossed his hands, meaning defensive and rejection, and then his eyes fell and vicissitudes, even with some kind of hostility? The expression of the woman in the pink vest in front is mixed with curiosity, resistance and anticipation, but in general, you can see from her eyes that she is full of hope for life and love. So from the perspective of the poster alone, it is different from the posters of most romance films. It does not reflect "love" or "affectionate", but is more like an exploration of love.

However, the story is an ordinary story. A man who thought he would never need love still accidentally met true love. A woman who thinks she sees through all the tricks of men still falls in love with the prodigal son uncontrollably.

It is always taught that healthy love should be "icing on the cake", your life should be good first, and then love makes your life richer and more exciting. However, all unforgettable love still irresistibly follows the "sending charcoal in the snow" mode. For the protagonist, without love in life, there is only a dead end. Of course, most people's lives did not die with love, so this film is also very realistic, and the rest of life is just a "aftermath".

Both Alper and Ada obviously have deep pasts. So he has a trick, and she will see through it quickly. But still fell in love. Probably before Ada, Alper never thought that a woman would actually walk into his heart and into his life. And Ada was the same, she had been able to defend herself by all the men's methods, but she was shattered so easily. So the movie tells us that for those who yell about not believing in love, it's probably just that the magical person hasn't appeared yet. Once he/she appears, your life system and all standards will be vulnerable.

Ada knew exactly how it would end with such a man from the beginning. And the impact of love is too great, she creates an illusion for herself that "this man should be different" while going deep into it, until it finally shatters. When she thought it was best, Alper said, I think we should break up. The description of the film here is very moving. Ada eats, stops, is sluggish, laughs, then gets angry, crying, questioning, calm, sad, and then picks up and walks away. She shouldn't be surprised by the result, but a sword hanging over her head finally fell, and the pain was real.

Alper rushed out and said to her, "My body is flowing contaminated blood. I don't want to be a part of other people's lives. I don't want others to come into my life." Ada replied, "You are stuck in the snow. In the ground, it’s almost freezing to death. Sleeping makes you feel so sweet, but you didn’t realize that you are dead.”

Later, the film described two development models of "aftermath", one is Ada's "marriage and childbirth" ", led a peaceful life. She is happy, but this kind of happiness can no longer be vigorous. The other is Apler's "Lonely Old Age". It may be difficult for him to get out of his memories, but staying in the memories is probably also happy. Two people go to the same destination by different routes, and the ending is infinitely regrettable. But in fact, there is a third ending for "Legend of Life", which is like "Two Little No Guess", but perhaps such an ending not only requires two people to be brave enough, but also can only survive in the romantic soil of French movies.

At this point, I think of another French film "Lovers in the New Bridge", which is similar to this one. In addition, love that is probably the "icing on the cake" is easier to truly last.

Alone quotes

  • Ada: Sleep seems so sweet but you don't realize you've died.

  • Alper: Ada... I want to break up.

Ada: I'm thinking why I'm not in the slightest bit surprised. Huh? I knew actually. I mean, I tried not to scare you but I imagine it was a waste of time. But why do people cry so much over things they already know. Right? Well, OK. I won't cry. Why did you run after me then so persistently? Huh? Why? You knew it wouldn't work, you knew you couldn't do it. So why?
