Own funeral

After reading a lot of film reviews, I talked about my views. What the stubborn old man struggles with and is obsessed with is not atonement but his love for the burned lover. This film seems to require people to reflect or judge between true love and The importance of morality is to explain the director’s process of seeking true love and insisting on moral truth. The woman who decided to elope with the old man could not get the husband’s forgiveness. Perhaps in that era, it was impossible to be allowed. Maybe her husband can’t accept this fact at all, but that’s not important. What’s important is how people grasp the yardstick to face the contradiction between truth and morality in life. The only way for me is to try my best to make it belong Or it is your true feelings that become what you want but does not belong to you, instead of taking away what is not yours, no matter whether it is more suitable for you, because it is not yours.
What is admirable is that the old man ultimately did not leave his regrets to God, but to faith. It's not that I want to be free from the superficial understanding of others. The old man was telling people after having been alone for half a life of regret that a detailed behavior, a loss of emotional control, and a wrong decision would bring disastrous results. If the old man knew that his lover would die eventually, he would choose not to know her. Old people try to tell people that sometimes persistence and strength are not enough to treat life. They are not enough to bring you happiness.

The film is good and comfortable to watch. There is actually Bill Murray. The last monologue is not very beneficial. After all, I waited for the story for an hour, and it was not bad.

  • Felix Bush: What did everybody say about what happened in town? That crazy son of a bitch tried to kill a man for no reason, is that it?

Buddy: There's two sides to every story.

Felix Bush: People say that but they don't believe it, no, sir. They think what they think, and they don't wanna know anything else.

Buddy: I also think that people are so scared about what they don't know that they make things up to feel better about it.

Felix Bush: Like life after dying, you know. Heaven.

Buddy: I also hope that part's true, don't you?

Felix Bush: I don't think we know the actual truth about anything.

Buddy: I know I don't. I'm just guessing most of the time.

  • Rev. Gus Horton: Mr. Bush, you can't buy forgiveness. It's free. But you do have to ask for it.
