In fact, what impressed me the most in the end was not only the moving music and graceful dancing, but also Javier's English with a strong Spanish accent. It doesn't sound smooth, and it's not melodious, but there is a kind of sincerity. There is an impulse to try to express love and break the barrier.

gringo&spic The two seemingly incompatible forces in the
United States & Cuba,
English & Spanish

, ended up in harmony in the two protagonists. And the power to break through this siege is even more commendable.

Let me put it a little bit:
1 I really don’t like the ending, a very lame happy ending in a relationship.
This reminds me of Tony Leung’s mv in "The Last Dance". The style is very different.
2 Some of the music is not strong enough in Cuban flavor. After all, is it a movie, or is it made in the United States, naturally there are so-called popular elements. Besides, for young people, too Cuba sounds too earthy.

The old-fashioned screenwriter has been renewed after the packaging of music and dance, which makes me want to dance a good dance with my beloved.

The film shows the most beautiful side of Cuba. Only this film can comfort the poor and happy brothers and sisters in this socialist country~

I like Diego Luna but Luna here is like a minor, can't take it. I prefer Jonathan Jackson by comparison. The old version of the male protagonist's paragraphs are my favorite. I still need to see him dance when dancing. The heroine is a great beauty, and the mother is even more beautiful.

Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights quotes

  • Javier Suarez: [Sees Katey dancing rather unflatteringly] You're a pretty good dancer.

Katey Miller: [laughs] I was terrible.

Javier Suarez: Well, yeah. Yeah, you were terrible. But for an American, you move well.

    Katey Miller: Oh, thanks.

  • Javier Suarez: You should see for yourself. The real dancers are at La Rosa Negra on Saturday night.

Katey Miller: Katey: Oh, I can't. I got invited to this country club... thing.

Javier Suarez: Javier: That was fast.

    Katey Miller: Katey: Yeah.

Javier Suarez: Javier: Is that why you want to learn Cuban dancing? Just to impress your date?

Katey Miller: Katey: No, I wanted to...

Javier Suarez: Javier: Don't worry, don't worry. They won't dance like that at the club. Just learn the Foxtrot instead.

    [Walks away]

    Katey Miller: Katey:

    [to herself]

Katey Miller: I already know the Foxtrot.
