The rise to fame of the wine industry in Napa, California

A person in the wine industry named Steven Spurrier held a blind wine tasting in Paris in 1976. Father and son winemakers, father Jim Barrett and son Bo struggled to maintain the Chateau Montelena, and in the end their Chardonnay won the white wine championship.

In addition, the winner of the red wine is Stag's Leap Cabernet (Stag's Leap Cabernet). There seems to be no ink in the film.

Just such a story, people who like wine should feel quite touched. I personally don't really appreciate wine, but it's interesting to see the style of Napa.

It's been a long time since I've seen such a bland movie. I watched it entirely for the sake of wine. After watching it, I think it's not bad! Learned more about wine.

Bottle Shock quotes

  • Gustavo Brambila: You people, you think you can just buy your way into this. You cannot do it that way.

    Jim Barrett: Alright...

Gustavo Brambila: You have to have it in your blood, you have to grow up with the soil underneath your nails, the smell of the grapes in the air that you breathe. The cultivation of the vine was an art form. The refinement of the vine is a religion that requires pain and desire and sacrifice.

  • Steven Spurrier: No offense, but I don't foresee the imminent cultivation of the Chicago vine.
