In 1998, Terry Gilliam said that the book was arranged into a movie. Like this book, it is not about motorcycle racing (the lens does not exceed 2 minutes). It is used to describe the psychedelic experience of the two guys during Las Vegas: As long as you are awake, you will be drowsy. Perhaps reading the original will help to understand the film.
In 2005, Hunter S. Thompson committed suicide in February 2005.
