I didn’t really understand it at the beginning, but I couldn’t really understand it even after reading it.

I think the plot is like this: From the end, the wife hired a killer to kill her husband. There should be two reasons. One is that the wife has the husband’s life insurance, although the husband did not tell the wife about his dilemma. But the wife feels it. The second is that the wife had an affair with repairing the swimming pool. Under the mask of a housewife, she was tired of ordinary feelings. Killing her husband can get the passion and money of life. The description of the girl holding the dog is to highlight the killer's ambivalence and pave the way for his goal of letting go. It fully shows that people's personalities are diverse, and no one knows what kind of sinful heart is hidden under a person's calm face. The whistle after the lights are turned off at the end is to remind oneself that human desires are infinite and will never be satisfied.
