A different perspective on our war

Domestic war-themed film and television works are always accustomed to be shot with the height of national righteousness. The protagonists are all masters who care about nothing for the country, and they have no personal thoughts. This film is different. There are no war scenes. The protagonist considers issues more from a humanitarian standpoint. In this respect, it is very American, but also very different.

Of course, it is always a little weird to have a foreigner make a film about the Chinese War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.
