It feels like a downhill Stephen Chow-style comedy.

I have always liked Stephen Chow's early funny films. However, the God of Cookery seems to be going downhill. There is also the same feeling of dead grass. Zhou Xingchi's early truancy series. It feels gorgeous in simplicity. The ordinary reveals the extraordinary. Like this God of Cookery, as well as the dead grass just mentioned, even the Variety Xingjun. Always felt a sense of arrogance. I feel like his movies are starting to change. You can compare, count dead grass, judge dead officer, and rank nine sesame officer. These three are basically the same type. But the feeling is that it is not the same. The feeling of being considered dead grass is the worst.

God of Cookery is probably the one I've played the most times in Xing Ye's films. Eighteen Shaolin bronze figures, ecstatic rice, peeing beef balls. It's still funny every time I watch it
