The text is wrong. The title and the content of the movie are completely irrelevant. I can only understand myself as "who is knocking on the door of my heart". The whole movie is also very difficult to understand. Comment that you either love it (get it) or hate it (don't understand its purpose). But no matter what, it will impress you. I was taken aback when it started. The firm and depressing drum beats are used as the background music, and the delicate and white image of the Virgin and Child is repeated many times, which makes me think this is another gangster movie similar to the Godfather. In fact, I guessed correctly, or the director successfully created the atmosphere. I have subconsciously felt that what the director wants to express is the breath of Italians in the United States, their special understanding of family, faith, and marriage. I've always thought there was something special about Italians in America, they made themselves laugh to tears when they were naive, but they were just as naive about their family and beliefs that you felt his own pain even more than he did. People who are shot are stronger. So this is actually a kind of movie with The Godfather.
The sound design of this film is excellent. Extensive use of the entire full rock song as background music goes well with the atmosphere of the film. The slightly blurred black-and-white scenes give you a heavy feel, so you see two young people happily together in the first half, and you'll laugh, but be more worried, because the dark scenes and music have ominous hints. The switching from scene to scene is very abrupt, and the plot is loose. The audience has to laboriously chase the mood of the film. That is to say, you can't immediately say how good or how bad it is, because there is too much stuff in it, and it's all obscure, you have to feel it with your heart, not just with your eyes.
Indeed, the film's academy atmosphere is too strong. Some people say that there are thousands of film school students' internships every year, but no one can surpass this one.
