The boys' second season feels like a transitional point where there's nothing exciting about it. I hope the third season will be a bit more exciting after all the new unstable factors are introduced, I shouted to the sky to show me Jensen! (The first three episodes) 2022.5.21 Who knows how awesome s2e8 is when it is completed, I was wrong, the second season is much more exciting than the first season. It's more of a playful media critique than an antihero. The means of capital making stars is never straightforward. It says feminism, rainbow flag, independence, and proud of you. They present seemingly progressive things to cater to the audience, but beneath those gleaming labels of independence, rebellion, and pride are still complex and vulnerable ordinary people shrouded in shadow. Always be wary of images of women (or progressives) presented in the media controlled by capital, however delightful they may seem, they may not be truly progressive. Because capital gives you what you want to see never because it progresses, but because it wants to make money. But Storm is right in saying that this is a war about cultural hegemony.
