in November, the film critic Kafka Lu, who passed away this year, had a classic sentence when evaluating this film: "Men need a successful insertion to bid farewell to the cowardly boyhood, and that successful establishment will also Creates the formation of responsibility."

After watching this film for the first time, I didn't think much about it. After reading this sentence, I felt a lot thicker. This is the process of a boy turning into a man, just like the freeze-frame shot of the film, his handsome face has faded away from the green, and more determination is comforting.

It is easy to get lost under the drive of sex, and the relationship between the teacher and the student shown in the film makes ethical controversy shrouded in the boy from the beginning. However, as the story progresses, we can see that the boy has a strong compassion, his adoration and respect for his brother, his love and compassion for his mother, and even his teacher’s husband with a strong compassion. It is this feeling in his heart that supports him to mature step by step, and also makes his personality tend to be complete.

The female teacher Viona felt sympathetic at first, then bored, and finally felt that she could only be described as pitiful. From her narrative, we can know that she once overwhelmed everyone with a beautiful appearance. Now that she cannot get satisfaction from her husband, she is afraid of pursuing normal happiness, so she falls into the predicament of desire and depression. But she didn't want to admit this. When the boy asked her why she didn't divorce her husband, she said: Because I can't bear to see him sink. The boy said silently: I don't think he will.

If Viona is sincere to the boy, the relationship between them can be called love. It's a pity that desire drives Viona. Her desire stems from the explosion of desire, and other than that, there is no emotional element at all. Until their relationship broke down, she unexpectedly picked up her skirt under the podium again. Fortunately, the boy kicked over the podium, letting out the evil anger in my heart.

In the last scene, the boy came to the church, and in front of everyone, facing Viona, he unzipped his trousers. The expression on his face was so calm, but at that moment, it shocked me. At the end of "Give Me a Girl at the Age of Eighteen", Feng Tang gave us a vigorous ending with the same tune and the same effect with wonderful words. But Feng Tang's ending is sad, because he is facing the girl he loves, facing the turbulent love in his body and the inexpressible depression, that way seems so appropriate in that particular situation. The calm expression on the boy's face in the film shows us that he has become a man. This is a demonstration. In the solemn church, this kind of abrupt but so magnanimous.

When the boy said goodbye to his unspeakable sensitivity and impulse, he must have begun to transform into a man, realizing that the responsibility on his shoulders is the first step, and learning to assume his responsibilities like a man is the real process.
