Every day that never dances

"Only Love Strangers", the first part of Gypsy director Tony Garev.

I did my homework afterwards. It turned out that Gypsies and Bohemians are different names for the same ethnic group. They are also known as the Cigan people.

Kind of like a Jew. There is no country of its own, but it is distributed all over the world. Mainly distributed in Europe.

There are wandering genes in the gypsy culture. Contempt is summarized by the modern social system. In many countries, they refuse to be naturalized by the mainstream and stubbornly maintain their inherent love of freedom.

Even material poverty. Even if you are not clothed.

We cannot lack a heart that loves freedom. There are also wine, singing and dancing, always accompanied.

The Jews are known for their shrewdness and good management of things. They are good at climbing to a favorable position in society in various countries. Create your own spiritual civilization achievements and material wealth.

The Jew is strong in the brain. Because it is strong, it is easy to be hated and excluded.

Compared with the Jews, the Gypsies showed a weaker position. They are not good at the brain, they are good at the heart. They are naturally bohemian and love freedom. There is no strong possessive desire for matter. Basically, they don’t operate any industry, and they don’t have possessions.

They often live at the bottom of society. It often gives the impression of being messy and messy. It's a bit like a mouse in the gutter, driven and suppressed by the mainstream.

But their survivability is also very tenacious.

Their spirit of being at ease and dancing with destiny is estimated to be unmatched among people all over the world, except for primitive tribes.

They are the people of Bacchus left behind in the world.

I have watched the film "Life in Bohemia" by Finnish director Aki Kaurismaki before, which tells the humble life of several impoverished artists.

This time, seeing "Only Love Strangers", I can be regarded as feeling the romance and pride in the bones of Gypsies/Bohemians.

To what extent are the gypsies shown in this film unrestrained?

The aunt sitting in the car talked loudly to the handsome guy behind the car and teased him: "Come on, lick under me, lick under me."

I also said without embarrassment that when kj, you should sprinkle pepper noodles and various seasonings.

Wow haha.

Enjoy the sticks as delicacies.

In this movie, people yell out the words "kj" and "lick the bottom" at every turn. Sometimes they are used for molesting, and sometimes they are used for quarreling, just like the "mb" and "cnm" that the people of our country like to say. reason.

The gypsy girl in the film fell in love with the protagonist French boy and kept seduce him. When lying in the forest, she said boldly: "Lick me under, lick me." She said and laughed.

After that, the two men were naked and chasing in the woods. Bare hair, flick the bird. The scene of the Garden of Eden emerges in the world.

What you feel is not pornography, but innocence.

In the film, there is a gypsy old man who is very enthusiastic. One night, he met a handsome French guy who had nowhere to stay, and he took out his own wine bottle and gave him a drink. Then chat together enthusiastically. The guy had nowhere to live, so he took the guy back to his home. Let him sleep on his own bed and live on the haystack in the cowshed.

What a simple, warm, kind-hearted, innocent and undefended uncle.

I heard that the French guy was going to find a musician, and the uncle enthusiastically led him to look around. The boy's shoes were broken. In the winter, he gave him a pair of brand new leather shoes of his son and went out together.

The guy is going to leave here and look elsewhere for the musician he is looking for. The uncle was reluctant to leave, he kept staying. It's like a person in love, reluctant to leave the person he likes. Gypsy love does not need a reason. That simple and passionate emotion, like blazing sunlight, directly warms people. So, the guy really stayed for a short stay.

The great thing about the movie is that it does not elevate the kindness and simplicity of people to the sky, and it does not only show one side. This uncle, who has been single for a long time, likes women, and always has to go to town to find women to sleep. The young man drove him to town with the gypsy girl he just fell in love with. He didn't fix any woman. On the way back, he was very disappointed, and got out of the car and went into the woods because of his discomfort. The gypsy girl got out of the car to see him. The old man hugged the gypsy girl directly in the woods and begged her to have sex with him. "I'm dying. You will make me perfect and have sex with me." The girl refused to agree to him. He became particularly restless. The French guy rushed over, and after understanding the whole story, he disagreed with the rude request of the old man. He quarreled with the French guy, saying that he was not loyal enough and didn't want to report.

Of course, the loneliness deep in this human nature, the depressing drunkenness erupted. Afterwards, it did not affect his friendship with the French guy.

This seemingly greasy behavior is simply incredible in modern society. But in the Gypsies, this does not seem to be a big deal. Asked directly, angry and sad after being rejected, and afterwards, it seemed as if nothing had happened. Everyone is in peace.

A Gypsy is a person who rejoices and does not hide his emotions. The grandfather's son was arrested by the police, and without strict evidence collection, he was sentenced to half a year in prison for theft. This is a kind of social injustice imposed on Gypsies. It is also a fate they cannot escape. Soon after, the grandfather's son was released early. The return of his son shook the entire village where Gypsies lived. Everyone went out to greet each other from a distance, and then the whole village sang and danced for a carnival of celebration.

The old man's son is also very happy. Go to a nearby tavern to buy wine. He invites him to drink when he sees people. He told the boss that for every guest in the pub, he asked for a glass of beer. However, a local person with identity and background rejected the gypsy boy's kindness face to face. Faced with the boy's kind explanation, the man continued to arrogantly humiliate: I will not drink the wine your gypsy thieves have planted. ! The dignity of the boy was severely hurt, he grabbed the wine glass and threw it at the man's face. The man's face was bloody. After getting into trouble, he quickly escaped from the tavern. Escaped back to his house and hid in the attic.

But the accomplices of the injured man called a large group of people, began a violent act of attacking the village where the Gypsies were located, and set fire to the house where the boy was hiding. He was burned to death. The old man learned that his son, who was celebrating after being released, was suddenly hit by this accident.

Joys and sorrows always come so violently and suddenly. This wandering nation bears all kinds of sufferings. But they are always drinking enthusiastically, singing enthusiastically, and dancing enthusiastically. We will never disappoint every day we live in the world.

The ending of the film certainly accuses the social injustice suffered by the Gypsies. However, I also see from it that the Gypsies are a group of true existentialists. They practiced what Nietzsche said in their entire lives: every day they never danced, they are betraying their lives.

Because life is inherently tragic.

If you can't afford to dance, you will completely fall into the abyss of tragedy. Only by dancing can we fight against this tragedy.

"Only Love Strangers", a good film that reminds a group of ways to survive and reveals the universal meaning of life.
