To be honest this movie is very strange, because it seems from the film posters and marketing,
the film should be part Christmas comedy is, however, etc. After you have watched the film,!
You will find:! Oh, absolutely not true

movie It tells how two middle-aged men from Quebec, Canada, in order to return to the right path, win dignity and trust, have transported a cart of Christmas trees to New York for sale in a cruel realism movie!

Dennis, played by Paul Giamatti, used to steal, on Christmas Before he was released on parole (staying in jail for four years), no one came to greet him. At the beginning of the movie, he was only seen walking lonely on the road... Such appearances hinted at the upcoming Christmas, the most important family holiday in the West. It's not his part.

In fact, it is true. When I came to the residence of the ex-wife and daughter, I learned that my wife had already had a relationship with him, especially that this object was actually his ex-thief (the reason why he was arrested because he had escaped)! In addition, from the mouth of the ex-wife Knowing that in the eyes of his daughter Michi, he had died of cancer four years ago... Fortunately, Dennis discovered the only thing left in the world worth accomplishing: Michi loves to play the piano but does not have a piano. So she asked his ex-thief (returning to evil but stole his wife and children) and his ex-wife's boyfriend Rene asked to go to New York to sell Christmas trees.

And the more tragic plot of the movie is that after the two came to New York, Dennis had to endure Rene's talk about all kinds of things about him and his ex-wife Therese, and even whether he and his current wife could get divorced as they wished...

Fortunately ... In this episode of New York, Olga (Sally Hawkins, sister ginger in Blue Jasmine) appeared as a maid in a dentist’s mansion. This Russian immigrant who once aspired to become a pianist, lived hard despite being in adversity. Now! Because of her appearance, Dennis really has the opportunity to change himself!

In the end, the sale of the Christmas tree (plus a ring) was robbed, and the two decided to KONE stealing the Steinway piano in the Olga service mansion... At the end of the movie, the piano was shipped back to Canada, and Michi played it with joy. Piano... and Dennis experienced the good taste of the first unpaid dedication in his life.

At this point in the movie, the open ending allows the audience to imagine Dennis’s future life!

Such scripts are actually similar to high-concept movies, but the skill of the screenwriter and director is not enough to control such themes! The ending of the movie is actually somewhat wishful thinking. It also ruins the overall story! Although many people feel relieved at the end of the movie...After all, there is no way to go! But the real life is more cruel!
