Evil lucy

This vampire movie is very good-looking, the image of Count Dracula is very classical and melancholic, and the cobweb castle is also very British. The stage props are very comfortable to watch. Given that the vampire story has been repeatedly remade, every director will inevitably want to make his own version new. The unique feature of this film is that it does not involve the part of the story of Dracula in his hometown in Transylvania. Rather, it directly tells that Dracula came to London to find Lucy. Therefore, Lucy’s love scene with her lover Jonathan was greatly weakened. After finding such a beautiful Dracula, but ignoring Jonathan, Lucy is no longer a passive and tempted pure woman, but at all costs. Dracula merged into an evil woman. Dracula has been dealt with in the hands of all directors, becoming less and less evil. He is no longer a wicked person who sucks blood in the dark and swears to turn all mankind into a bloodthirsty monster like him. A noble earl who is becoming more and more personable and makes women want to stop. As a result, the female image has become more and more degenerate. Mina without exception has become a frivolous nympho who deserves to die. Lucy does not hesitate to turn against relatives and friends for Dracula's sake, although her reaction will be interpreted as suffering in the movie. Dracula is bewitched, but what is the difference between being bewitched by a hypnotist and being bewitched by love? The directors undoubtedly subconsciously believe that love is a woman's fate and will make a woman lose her sanity. The battle between good and evil has become the entanglement of love and desire, and the story of vampires has a long history in modern society after the theme has been completely changed.

Lucy Seward: Oh, I love to be frightened!

Count Dracula: [glances at her, then, after a pause] *Do* you?

  • Count Dracula: Lucy, come! Come to me!

[Lucy runs into Dracula's arms, and he embraces her]

Count Dracula: No, you must go on a bit longer as a creature of the sun. Only until we have left behind those who would destroy us.
